May 2, 2024 Trending: Metallic Jeans
We’re into metallics again this season, and metallic jeans show off the trend best (although we do love the trend in dresses and shoes too).
Surprisingly, there are so many hues to choose from, like gold, silver, copper, and bronze. Choose your favorite sheen and make it your outfit base neutral. You’ll notice from the looks we chose below that it doesn’t take more than a t-shirt or button-down to complete the look.
Matching shoes run the wide gamut from sneakers to heels, so choose what works best for your day. And don’t be afraid to bring in even more shine with chunky jewelry and handbag hardware. Go bold!
Feeling inspired to give metallic jeans a try?
If you’re not sold, that’s okay. There are so many other trends to choose from this season! You can check out our latest selling guide to see plenty more options, from lace up tops to pleats .
Once you’ve set your eyes on your favorite trends, stop into any of our stores to shop or sell the look. That’s right, you can sell your preloved trend pieces for cash or store credit, either in-store or by mail. Learn more.
April 30, 2024 Where Can I Sell Used Clothes for Money?
A very common question is, where can I sell used clothes for money? We understand the feeling. Sometimes, you just want to clean out your closet and turn preloved pieces into cash.
You can always count on Crossroads stores for selling your clothes, but did you know we have another solution if you don’t live near one of our stores (or don’t have the time to visit)?
It’s called Sell by Mail, and it’s free to get started.
Here’s how it works. Order a free bag from our website and check out our selling guide to learn what styles, trends, and labels we’re currently looking for.
Locate those gently used items in your closet and wait for your bag to arrive. Check each piece to make sure it has no stains or damage.
When your bag arrives, fill it up! It arrives with a pre-paid shipping label so you can drop it off at your local UPS store or schedule a pick-up.
Then, just wait to hear back from our Sell by Mail buyers. They’ll let you know when your bag has been processed, and how much you can expect in cash (via Zelle payment) or store credit.
April 25, 2024 Styling a Lace Up Top
A lace up top may sound like a tricky fashion piece to style, but we find that they’re so pretty they stand out on their own. That means you can wear them with everyday items you have in your closet. Just look at what we paired them with below!
Denim
A super simple easy match! A lace up top will dress up your favorite pair of jeans any day of the week.
Maxi Skirt
We like to pair them with flowy maxi skirts and love to pair them with a skirt that matches in color and material. Find its match for a pretty set.
Blazer
This style of top may feel casual, but there are so many styles that can be easily paired with a more sophisticated piece like a blazer.
Mini Skirt
This one in an A-line shape is particularly fitting.
Cut-Offs
We promised ease of styling, and it doesn’t get much easier than your go-to summer cut-off shorts.
Lace up tops made it on to our recent selling guide, where we share the styles, trends, and labels we’re currently looking for.
If you want to add one to your closet, stop into any of our store locations to see if we have one waiting for you. Or, if you have a preloved version to sell, bring it in to our selling counter!

April 18, 2024 Stores That Buy Used Clothes
There are very few stores that buy used clothes. You can try selling your clothes online through sites like eBay, try to make a deal with an interested buyer on Facebook Marketplace, or try one of the many peer-to-peer apps that require you to negotiate with a stranger.
But to just walk into a store and ask a buyer to purchase your gently used preloved clothing? So you can walk out that day with cash in hand? Not so easy.
That’s why you need to know about buy-sell-trade fashion retailers like Crossroads, a store that buys clothing from the public all day, every day. With store locations across the U.S., you just visit with your clothing, add your name to the waitlist, and wait to be called. No appointment is even necessary. The best part? While you wait, you can shop the store’s curated racks of excellent condition secondhand clothing and start dreaming of how you’ll spend your newfound cash or store credit.
Crossroads is just one of the stores that buys clothes, but there are honestly not that many. If you can’t find a buy-sell-trade store near you, Crossroads has that covered as well. Try their Sell by Mail option!
